Adding an artwork

  1. From the Admin Dashboard, open Manage Content.
  2. Tap the + button in the bottom-right corner of the list.
  3. The Add New Artwork screen opens. Fill in the details:
    • Title — the artwork's name as you want visitors to see it.
    • Artist — the creator's name.
    • Description — the interpretive text for visitors. The AI Describe button next to this field can draft a starting point — see AI descriptions & audio.
    • Medium — the materials (oil on canvas, bronze, etc.).
    • Dimensions — physical size.
    • Year — when it was made.
    • Category — a tag for grouping (e.g. General, Sculpture).
    • Location — where the artwork lives in the gallery.
  4. The catalogue section has additional fields for collection management — Acquisition Date, Acquisition Method, Provenance, Condition, Insurance Info, Loan Status, and Tags. Fill in whichever your venue uses; visitors don't see these directly.
  5. Add an image — either upload a file or paste an image URL. Each artwork has one image.
  6. Tap Save.

You can link the beacon later

You don't need a beacon to create an artwork. Add the artwork first, then pair a beacon from the Beacons section and link it.
