Troubleshooting¶
Quick fixes for the most common problems. For beacon-specific signal issues, see Beacons → Troubleshooting signal.
I can't sign in¶
- Double-check your Tenant ID, email, and password (all three are case-sensitive).
- beacbeac has no self-serve password reset. If you've forgotten your password, contact your administrator — they can issue you a new one from the User Management screen.
- If you've recently been added, confirm with your administrator that the account was actually saved (not just drafted) and that you're using the right Tenant ID for your venue.
Bluetooth / location permission prompts won't go away¶
Your device has blocked the permissions beacbeac needs to scan for beacons.
- iOS: Settings → beacbeac → enable Bluetooth and Location (set to While Using).
- Android: Settings → Apps → beacbeac → Permissions → enable Nearby devices and Location.
Relaunch beacbeac after changing permissions.
The visitor app shows nothing when I'm near a beacon¶
Step through the checklist in Beacons → Troubleshooting signal.
I made a change but visitors don't see it¶
- Make sure you tapped Save after editing.
- Ask the visitor to reopen the beacbeac visitor app — it picks up changes when a session starts.
Something else¶
If nothing here helps, contact your beacbeac administrator or the beacbeac team with:
- What you were trying to do.
- What happened instead.
- The device you were using (iPhone / iPad / Android phone / web browser).
- A screenshot if you can get one.
