Multi-story beacons¶
Sometimes you want one beacon to cover a group of stories — for example, a wall of related prints, a display case with several small objects, or a plaza with several points of interest.
beacbeac supports this via multi-story beacons: one beacon linked to several stories, shown to visitors as a tile grid they can tap through.

When to use it¶
- A cluster of stories too close together to give each one its own beacon.
- A thematic group you want visitors to experience as a set.
- A display case containing multiple objects.
Setting it up¶
- Pair the beacon as usual — see Pairing a beacon.
- Open the beacon from the Manage Beacons list and tap Edit.
- In the Associate with Stories section, tap Add and search for the stories you want this beacon to cover.
- The order you add them in is the order visitors will see them in the tile grid.
- Tap Save.
When a visitor walks into the beacon's range, the app shows a grid of all linked stories — they can tap any tile to see its full details and hear the description read aloud.
One story is the default
A beacon paired in the normal flow is linked to a single story. Adding more is what makes it a "multi-story" beacon — there's no separate mode to switch on. If you link a lot of stories, the app will warn you that visitors may find that many options overwhelming.
