Editing a story

To change an existing story:

1. Open Manage Content from the Admin Dashboard.
2. Tap the story you want to change, or open its ⋯ menu and choose Edit.
3. The Edit Story screen opens — the same form as adding a story. Update any fields, then tap Save.

Changes appear in the visitor app the next time a visitor opens the story.

Changing the story type

The Story type dropdown at the top of the form works the same as when adding. Switching to Waypoint or General hides the museum-specific fields (Medium, Dimensions, and the Acquisition & Provenance, Condition & Conservation, and Financial & insurance sections); switching back to Artwork or Exhibit shows them again. Stories created before types existed are treated as Artwork.

Replacing the media

A story can carry a photo, an audio track, and a video at the same time, and each is managed on its own. In the story's edit screen, the Story Media card shows a section per attachment — replace or remove the photo, audio, or video individually without touching the others (for the photo you can also change the image URL). Removing one never clears the other two.

Deleting a story

From the story's ⋯ menu on the list, choose Delete, then confirm.

Delete is permanent

Deleting removes the story record from your venue. If the story was linked to a beacon, the beacon stays paired but loses its link — visitors near it won't see anything until you link a different story (see Multi-story beacons if a beacon has more than one).
